MOUNTAIN HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER

Compassion in Action

Mountain Health Resource Center is a nonprofit that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for local mountain residents by removing barriers to comprehensive healthcare services, connecting people to resources, and providing healthcare education. We provide services to full time, local residents of the Big Bear Valley and Rim Communities. Our Board Members and volunteers are all local to the mountain communities and are intimately aware of the challenges faced by full time residents.

LOCAL
SUPPORT

According to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, we have five main categories of needs: physiological, safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization.  Maslow theorized that humans cannot achieve higher levels of the pyramid until the all the needs in the previous levels are filled.

Mountain Health Resource Center has developed our own hierarchy of needs and compiled a list of local resources to ensure that our mountain communities have access to support at every level.

- Overdue utility bills
